This album was a comission for a Sound Art Project in March 2017.

Cão is a group of sound, visual and performance artists formed in 2011. Its output is sound, and live multimedia performances. Not a music band, but still a band. Not a performance group, but still a group of performers exploring the possibilities of expanding the boundaries of music, performance, video and sound art in a way that reflects the group members backgrounds. All four members of Cão are based in São Paulo, Brazil, a city with overwhelming dimensions and chaotic urban configuration. Cão presents a black on black soundscape of howling sounds and intense performances crafted to rethink space and time. The multimedia performance of Cão consists of a concert of sound pieces that mix references from noise, electronic and industrial music, punk, doom and black metal and sound art. It should be presented on a bare, darkened room or stage (preferably the walls should be painted black or covered with a black fabric) over which a projection of appropriated and reworked videos function as the lighting of the performance. Besides that, four stroboscopic lamps should be installed behind the performers, flashing from time to time, inducing a negative optical memory of light in the eyes of the public. Each sound piece has a specific video counterpart. Cão is: Bruno Palazzo (visual artist and musician) on electric guitar, Dora Longo Bahia (visual artist) on bass guitar, Maurício Ianês (visual and performance artist) on vocal and samples, and Ricardo Carioba (visual and sound artist) on audio sequencer. All of them work together on the sound and video pieces used on the projection
